"If it's anarchy, than why have an anti-cheat?"

Summing it up...sustainability.

The first reason is so that it allows everybody to enjoy the game. We don't wish for the server to be ONLY hackers or ONLY vanilla client players, we'd like to have a habitat where everyone can play and thrive without being too paranoid every second they play.

The second reason is so that people can't rapidly pile up the map size in a matter of hours, thus over stress the server with mass amounts of chunks being generated. New chunk generation is already difficult enough for server's to handle, if every person with a client could push that to it's peak then it would be almost impossible to stabalize the server.

The third of course being related to stash finding and bots. We can't completely prevent this nor do we plan to, but we don't wish for a bot to be able to move at mass speeds and locate bases and stashes without a problem. We'd like people to actually work a little bit, or else there'd be no fun to it and people would have to live in fear every time they even planned to build something.

The final and main reason in general is, we still want this to be Minecraft. If everybody can fly whenever they want, move at mass speeds, breaking everything instantly and in massive areas, then it's no longer a game. It's basically just a bunch of people flying around playing admin and troll, and that's no fun. Anarchy should be like a game of hide and seek, the hacks are there as hints and can help both the seeker and the hider, but they shouldn't just give it away. Where's the fun in that?

We are constantly adjusting and trying to refine down the anti-cheat the best we can, and we plan on swapping it up once in a while to make it a bit more difficult to bypass. If you think you're getting wrongfully kicked or a hack should be enabled, put up a suggestion or open a ticket and maybe, just maybe, it'll change for the better...
